Coating Equipment for Precision Optical Components

Optical windows transmit specific wavelengths of light for opto‑electronic systems while shielding them from environmental influences. They are used in the aerospace industry for applications such as earth observation, remote sensing, environmental monitoring, altitude and distance measurement, LiDAR, RADAR, camera sensors, pilot vision systems for collision avoidance, and in communication systems.

Their shape and size can vary widely, though they are often flat glass plates optimized for maximum transmission with antireflective (AR) coatings on both sides.

The OPTA X is designed precisely for these requirements. It accommodates a wide range of substrate geometries and enables fast, simultaneous AR coating of both surfaces, as well as the deposition of selective interference filters. The resulting layers offer high durability, with strong resistance to climate effects and abrasion.

In addition, it offers the possibility of simultaneous and fast antireflection coating of front and back sides and the deposition of selective interference filters. The deposited layers are climate resistant and abrasion resistant.

Furthermore, you can use the OPTA X to deposit transparent conductive ITO layers - either as a top layer or within the mulit-layer stack.
